Term Begins on April 1
Volkswagen Group Korea announced on February 27 that it will appoint Michael Arndt as President of the Volkswagen Division, effective April 1.
Since February 2024, Til Scheer, CEO of Volkswagen Group Korea, has been overseeing both the overall operations of the group and serving as the head of the Volkswagen brand, strengthening core business capabilities and organizational efficiency.
Building on this foundation, the newly appointed President Michael Arndt will be responsible for the overall operations of the Volkswagen brand. He will focus on maintaining the continuity of the brand’s strategic direction while further enhancing execution. In addition, in line with the operational policy for group brands in Korea, he will report directly to Til Scheer, CEO of Volkswagen Group Korea.
President Michael Arndt brings nearly 30 years of extensive experience within Volkswagen Group. Since joining the company in 1998, he has held key positions in major markets such as Germany and China, working across various brands including Volkswagen, Skoda, and Audi. This broad experience is expected to drive the growth of the Volkswagen brand in the Korean market and serve as a crucial force in moving the brand forward.
This appointment demonstrates Volkswagen Group Korea’s continued commitment to the Korean market and reflects the company’s intention to enhance operational efficiency and market competitiveness through close cooperation among its brands.
