Gold&S announced on February 27 that its foreign language education platform, Siwonschool, has received the grand prize in the Foreign Language Education category at the '2026 Consumer Choice Best Brand Awards' for the 10th consecutive year.
This awards ceremony, now in its 15th year, was hosted by JoongAng Ilbo and Forbes Korea and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Science and ICT, and JTBC. The event was held at The Plaza Hotel in Seoul. The best brands in each industry sector are selected based on a combination of direct consumer voting and expert evaluations.
This year’s award was determined through a comprehensive evaluation of consumer research items such as brand awareness, preference, and trust, as well as corporate assessments including marketing strategies and fulfillment of social responsibility. Since the consumer research score accounted for 600 points, or 60% of the total, this 10-year consecutive win is attributed to the consistent trust and high satisfaction of Siwonschool’s students.
Recently, Gold&S strengthened its competitiveness by acquiring the Siwonschool education business division from co-major shareholder SJW International (SJW). As the top online language education brand in Korea with a cumulative 2.9 million members, Siwonschool is enhancing its edtech capabilities by applying artificial intelligence (AI) learning programs to a total of seven languages, including English and Japanese.
A company representative stated, "Achieving this award for 10 consecutive years was only possible thanks to the students who have trusted and supported Siwonschool," adding, "We will continue to solidify our status as Korea's leading foreign language education platform by advancing our AI-based learning services and expanding various language content."
