Korea Investment & Securities announced on February 27 that it will launch the "ETF Market" service through the "Korea Investment" application starting February 28.
The ETF Market was designed to help clients more easily access information and trade products in line with the rapidly growing demand for Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) investments. According to Korea Investment & Securities, the ETF holdings of customers using its non-face-to-face and bank-affiliated service "BanKIS" increased by 22% in just one month through the end of January this year. Additionally, ETF transactions via tax-advantaged accounts such as ISA intermediary accounts surged by 29%, indicating that trading through these accounts has been very active.
Korea Investment & Securities has enhanced its non-face-to-face investment platform to reflect the trend of market funds increasingly flowing into ETFs. The home screen now allows investors to immediately check information on ETFs that can be purchased through tax-advantaged accounts such as ISA intermediary, personal pension, and retirement pension accounts, creating a trading environment optimized for both investment goals and account characteristics. In addition, users can compare and review popular ETF products by major asset management companies and by investment themes at a glance, and execute trades instantly for added convenience. To use the service, the app must be updated.
