Humedix, a subsidiary of Huons Group, has acquired the distribution rights for the wound dressing material 'Arche (ARCHE)', further expanding its product portfolio.
On February 27, Humedix announced that it recently signed an exclusive distribution agreement for Arche with Doum Co., Ltd.
Under the agreement, Humedix will be solely responsible for the domestic distribution, marketing, and sales of Arche. The company plans to use this contract to expand its distribution network nationwide and establish a robust product supply and management system.
Arche is a wound dressing material that leverages the properties of plant-derived low-molecular-weight water-soluble chitosan (ISC) as its main ingredient. It promotes skin regeneration when applied to areas where the skin barrier is damaged. ISC is an original development of Doum Co., Ltd. According to the company, clinical trials have verified its antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and wound healing effects, as well as its potential for scalp care.
In particular, Arche's ISC stands out for its high bioactivity due to its average low molecular weight of 500 daltons (Da), and because it is manufactured using an enzymatic hydrolysis process rather than chemical hydrolysis.
