Proving Its Reputation as a Design Powerhouse
Peugeot announced on February 27 that the 'All-New 3008 Smart Hybrid' won two awards in the 'Design of the Year' category at the '2026 Korea Car of the Year' evaluations, which were organized separately by the Korea Automobile Journalists Association and the Korea Auto Journalists Association.
The Korea Automobile Journalists Association conducted real vehicle tests on 41 models at the Everland Speedway in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province in January, and finalized the winners after a comprehensive assessment across 22 detailed criteria, including design, performance, convenience and safety, cost-effectiveness, and innovation.
The 'All-New 3008' received 50% of the votes in the design category. The Peugeot '308 Smart Hybrid' also won the 'Internal Combustion Crossover of the Year' award, demonstrating the competitiveness of the entire Peugeot Smart Hybrid lineup.
The Korea Auto Journalists Association held its final judging on February 5 at the Korea Transportation Safety Authority Automotive Research Institute in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province. The 'All-New 3008' achieved the highest evaluation in the fiercely competitive 'Design of the Year' category among seven nominated models, ultimately earning the top honor.
The third-generation 'All-New 3008', launched in July last year, is an urban SUV developed and manufactured in France. It harmoniously combines sculptural beauty with practicality, rooted in French sensibility. Its elegant roofline and balanced body proportions perfect the fastback SUV’s silhouette, while the new Peugeot emblem, a gradient grille that seamlessly connects with the body color, and lion-claw-shaped daytime running lights further strengthen the brand’s identity.
The next-generation 'Panoramic i-Cockpit' has been introduced for the first time, maximizing driver immersion and usability. Features such as the floating 21-inch panoramic curved display (on GT trim), virtual i-Toggles, compact steering wheel, and an integrated gear selector positioned beside the steering wheel offer an intuitive, driver-focused interface, further enhancing the competitiveness of the interior design.
Bangsil, CEO of Stellantis Korea, stated, "This signifies that the strength of Peugeot’s design has been clearly recognized by Korean customers and the market. Based on our strong design DNA, we will establish ourselves as a brand that delivers experiences beyond expectations by adding product quality and price competitiveness, including smart hybrid technology."
