Leaping Forward as a Hub for Practice-Oriented Talent Development
Hoseo University has been selected for the government's advanced industry talent development project and will establish a practice-oriented AI talent training system that responds to regional industrial demand.
Hoseo University announced on the 27th that it was finally selected in the artificial intelligence (AI) field of the "2026 Advanced Industry Talent Development Bootcamp" hosted by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology.
The Advanced Industry Talent Development Bootcamp is a national strategic project in which universities and companies jointly operate short-term intensive training courses of up to one year to cultivate practice-oriented advanced industry professionals. A total of 7.125 billion won will be invested in each selected university over five years (3+2 years).
Through this project, Hoseo University plans to strengthen company-participation-based job analysis and joint curriculum development, classes involving industry experts, and field training and project-based education.
The university also plans to introduce micro-degree programs to enhance the employment competitiveness of program graduates.
In particular, by operating "AI+X" convergence education linked to Chungnam's key industries and immersive short-term intensive courses, the university aims to build a system for supplying AI specialists that meets regional industrial demand.
Bootcamp Project Director Park Geundeok said, "This selection is a recognition of Hoseo University's capabilities in AI·AX convergence education and its industry-academia cooperation foundation," adding, "We will leap forward as a hub university for AI talent development that grows together with the local community."
Meanwhile, Hoseo University has been strengthening its educational capabilities in advanced fields by carrying out major national projects such as the Semiconductor Specialized University Support Project, the Software-Centered University Project, and the Data Science Convergence Talent Development Project.
