Blackpink will release their third mini album "Deadline (DEADLINE)" at 2 p.m. on the 27th. It is their first full-group comeback in 3 years and 5 months since their second full-length album "Born Pink (BORN PINK)" in September 2022.
This album takes as its theme "Blackpink's greatest, irreversible moment" and the present. It contains a total of five tracks that encompass a variety of styles and genres.
The title track "Go (GO)" is a song filled with positive, confident energy. Its powerful sound and addictive melody create harmony. Through the group chant "Blackpink'll make ya," it delivers a message of courage and solidarity.
The album also includes "Jump (JUMP)," based on a hard style sound, "Me And My (Me and my)" with a retro hip-hop beat, "Champion (Champion)" with a message of encouragement, and "Fxxxboy (Fxxxboy)," which highlights the members' emotional vocal tones.
Foreign media outlets have also continued to show interest. U.S. outlets such as Billboard and Rolling Stone reported on the promotion process for "Deadline." Billboard described the teaser video as having a sophisticated concept.
Previously, with their second full-length album, Blackpink topped both the U.S. "Billboard 200" and the U.K. "Official Albums Chart." At that time, they sold 2.14 million copies, becoming double million sellers, and attracted 1.8 million audience members with a single tour.
Most recently, their YouTube channel surpassed 100 million subscribers, setting a record as the first artist in the world to achieve this milestone.
YG Entertainment stated, "We have devoted a long time to enhancing the album's completeness," adding, "It is a work that condenses the members' musical capabilities and the group's synergy."
