The Center for Supporting Industrialization of Advanced Precision Medicine at Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital announced on February 27, 2026, that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Device Association for the development and commercialization of in vitro diagnostic medical devices.
The two organizations recently entered into the agreement and decided to begin full-scale collaboration on identifying joint projects in the field of in vitro diagnostic medical devices and on research and development cooperation. The scope of cooperation includes technology exchanges and joint implementation of research projects to strengthen industrial competitiveness, as well as operation of support programs for non-clinical and clinical trials.
This agreement focuses on establishing a full-cycle support system that extends from the early stages of in vitro diagnostic medical device development through to clinical application. By linking the hospital's clinical infrastructure with the association's industrial network, they aim to enhance the commercialization potential of research outcomes.
Shin Myunggeun, director of the Center for Supporting Industrialization of Advanced Precision Medicine, said, "Through a cooperation model that connects clinical settings with industry, we will strengthen research and development competitiveness and expand the growth foundation of the in vitro diagnostic medical device industry."
