"Visiting KOSME" On-Site Meeting Held
at the Seocho AICT Excellent Enterprise Center
The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) announced on the 27th that it held an on-site meeting under the program "Visiting KOSME" for tenant companies at the Seocho AICT Excellent Enterprise Center in Seoul.

This event was promoted as the first follow-up measure to the "Business Agreement (MOU) for Fostering Small and Venture Enterprises in the AI and ICT Sectors and Creating an Innovation Ecosystem," signed by KOSME, Seocho-gu District, and the Seocho AICT Excellent Enterprise Center. It was designed to support innovative growth in new AI industries and to revitalize the local economy by informing promising AI companies about major support programs for small and medium-sized enterprises, and by linking appropriate policies on-site that fit each company.
The meeting was attended by Lee Changseop, Director of Planning and Management at KOSME; Kim Jihong, Head of the KOSME Seoul Southern Branch; Ji Jaewoo, Head of the Seocho AICT Excellent Enterprise Center; Choi Jongcheon, Head of the Seoul Eastern Business Headquarters at the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund; Yeom Myeongguk, Head of the Gangnam Branch of the Human Resources Development Service of Korea in Seoul; as well as officials from supporting organizations and representatives from 15 tenant companies of the Seocho AICT Excellent Enterprise Center.
The event was held in two parts. In the first part, KOSME and related institutions held a joint policy briefing session and introduced tailored key programs for AI companies, including policy fund loans, training and recruitment of professionals, and credit guarantee services.
In the second part, one-on-one customized consultations were conducted between experts from related institutions and participating companies. Focusing on various difficulties that AI companies face in the course of their business activities, such as high development costs and operating capital burdens, difficulties in securing professional talent, and regulations related to data utilization, the organizers examined company-specific issues and worked to ensure that on-site linkages would lead to practical support.
Lee Changseop, Director of Planning and Management at KOSME, said, "Since AI technology is a key driver that determines national competitiveness, it is important to strengthen field-oriented support so that related companies are not constrained in their growth by regulations or lack of funds," adding, "We hope that this agreement and subsequent support will serve as an opportunity for promising AI companies to solidify their growth base and establish a springboard for further advancement."
