This public hearing has been organized to share with residents the direction of the urban regeneration project, which focuses on renovating aging residential areas and promoting region-specific regeneration, and to ensure that on-site feedback is substantially reflected in the revitalization plan.

The hearing will be held twice on the same day. First, at 1:00 p.m. in the second-floor conference room of the Samsu-dong Administrative Welfare Center, the city will explain the revitalization plan for the "Samsu 2 Area Aging Residential Area Renovation Support Project," covering the basic direction for renovating aging residential areas, measures to improve the residential environment, and plans to upgrade public and infrastructure facilities, and will collect residents' opinions through a Q&A session and open discussion.

Then, at 4:00 p.m. in the second-floor conference room of the Hwangyeon-dong Administrative Welfare Center, a public hearing will be held on the revitalization plan for the "Samsu 3 Area Region-Specific Regeneration Project." For the Samsu 3 Area, the city aims to strengthen cultural, tourism, and economic functions that reflect local characteristics, and will share the regeneration vision and implementation strategy, plans to revitalize commercial districts, and plans to build tourism infrastructure.

The city plans to comprehensively review the practical, daily-life-focused opinions and proposals on local issues presented at the hearing to enhance the completeness of the project plan. This process is a mandatory step for future public bid applications and is expected to serve as a foundation for establishing a feasible and competitive revitalization plan.

An official from Taebaek City said, "Urban regeneration is not a project unilaterally designed by the administration; it is crucial that residents directly participate and create it together," adding, "We look forward to active participation from many residents so that the Samsu and Hwangyeon areas can take off again as safe and vibrant hubs for daily life and the local economy."

Meanwhile, any interested citizen, including residents and merchants in the project area and local organizations, can freely attend the public hearing without prior registration.
