Lotte Hotel Co., Ltd. and Hyundai Department Store Duty Free Co., Ltd. have been selected as new operators for the duty-free shops in the departure area of Incheon International Airport.
The Korea Customs Service’s Duty-Free Shop License Review Committee held a meeting on the 26th and announced the results of the review for new licenses for duty-free shops in the departure area of Incheon International Airport.
As a result of the review, in the DF1 zone, Lotte Hotel Co., Ltd. beat Hyundai Department Store Duty Free Co., Ltd. to win the final license approval.
In contrast, in the review for the DF2 zone, Hyundai Department Store Duty Free Co., Ltd. secured the new license instead of Lotte Hotel Co., Ltd.
The two companies each received high scores in areas such as bonded cargo management systems and compliance with laws and regulations.
