The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education held the "Retired Teachers Decoration and Medal Presentation Ceremony" on the 6th-floor auditorium of the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education on the 26th.

This ceremony was organized to honor the contributions of teachers who contributed to the development of the nation and education in Gangwon during their tenure and are now retiring, and it was scheduled to be held with around 100 attendees, including government award recipients and their families.

The award recipients total 118, including teachers retiring at the statutory retirement age at the end of February 2026 and teachers taking honorary retirement at the end of August 2025. By grade of decoration, the list includes 33 recipients of the Yellow Stripes Order of Service Merit, 19 recipients of the Red Stripes Order of Service Merit, 27 recipients of the Green Stripes Order of Service Merit, 16 recipients of the Jade Stripes Order of Service Merit, 18 recipients of the Service Merit Medal, 1 recipient of the Presidential Citation, 3 recipients of the Prime Minister’s Citation, and 1 recipient of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education’s Citation.
