Jangseong-gun in Jeonnam announced on February 26 that it is recruiting residents to participate in this year's "Mobile Healthcare" program.

"Mobile Healthcare" is a program that provides personal health management services using a dedicated app and devices based on information and communications technology (ICT). Participants in the program receive customized counseling linked with nurses, exercise specialists, and dietitians, along with six months of health management services.

Health management devices such as smartwatches and blood pressure monitors are also provided, and participants receive incentive benefits when they achieve specific health goals such as walking, exercising, and improving their diet.

The impact on improving lifestyle habits has also been positive. According to Jangseong-gun, a survey of 70 residents who took part in the same program last year showed a 55.7% improvement rate in health behaviors.

This year, the program will support a total of 80 Jangseong-gun residents aged 20 to 64. Residents can apply directly by calling the Health Policy Team of the Health Promotion Division at Jangseong-gun Public Health Center by March 31. The county plans to finalize the list of participants after identifying the health risk factors of applicants.

Jangseong-gun Mayor Kim Han-jong said, "We will continue to take the lead in promoting the health of our residents by actively operating both ICT-based health management services and in-person programs."
