SK Hynix Selected as Excellent Company for Third Consecutive Year in Large and Small Enterprises Safety and Health Win-Win Cooperation

SK Hynix announced on the 26th that it has been selected as an excellent company for 2025 in the "Large and Small Enterprises Safety and Health Win-Win Cooperation Project" hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency. This marks the third consecutive year that SK Hynix has been selected as an excellent company since the system was introduced in 2023.

SK Hynix's Icheon and Cheongju sites both received awards. In particular, the Cheongju site was designated as an "autonomous implementation workplace" after winning for three consecutive years, thereby earning official recognition for its capabilities in managing the safety and health of its partner companies. According to the company, the evaluation was conducted through a rigorous screening process in which only companies within the top 10% of the 233 participating parent companies (prime contractors) were selected.

To address the lack of safety and health know-how among small and medium-sized partner companies and the limitations in applying such know-how in the field, SK Hynix has continued to provide practical, effectiveness-focused support centered on its "Win-Win Cooperation Consortium," including coaching-style consulting, risk assessment training, and on-site improvement activities. SK Hynix stated, "We received high marks for providing guidelines that partner companies can implement directly and for ensuring that these efforts led to actual improvements in risk factors."

In addition, in 2019 the company established the "Work Environment and Health Center," a public-interest foundation approved by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, thereby expanding the scope of its safety and health support not only to partner companies but also to local small and medium-sized enterprises. This initiative is being evaluated as a public-interest model that spreads a culture of safety throughout the local community, going beyond safety management at the corporate level.

An SK Hynix official said, "Strengthening the safety and health capabilities of our partner companies is key to supply chain stability and sustainable safety management," adding, "We will continue to advance differentiated support models tailored to each industry and company size."
