The launching ceremony was organized to expand youth participation in policies for Northern Gyeonggi, to strengthen policy promotion and communication from a youth perspective, and to provide capacity-building training. Fifty young people selected as supporters attended the event, received letters of appointment, and shared the direction of their future activities.

The Youth Supporters will carry out activities such as producing online content, on-site coverage, and promotion through social media on a variety of policy topics, including the large-scale development policy for Northern Gyeonggi and key regional issues. In particular, they will play a role in discovering the potential of Northern Gyeonggi and conveying related policies in an easy and friendly way from a youth perspective, thereby broadening consensus with residents of the province.

During the capacity-building training held alongside the launching ceremony, the "Northern Gyeonggi Grand Development 2040 Initiative" was introduced, and practical training was provided on supporter activities and participation benefits, including content planning and production and social media promotion. In particular, a "Northern Gyeonggi Questions and Ideas Proposal Q&A" session using Post-it notes was held, giving young people an opportunity to resolve questions they had felt in their daily lives and to communicate directly with the provincial administration, which enhanced the supporters' understanding of policies and their promotional capabilities.

Kim Yeonseop, Head of the Special Policy Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, "The Northern Gyeonggi Youth Supporters are an important link that directly understands and interprets policies through fresh and sophisticated content and communicates them to residents of the province," adding, "We hope that the creative ideas and voices of young people will play a major role in widely promoting the changes and hope of Northern Gyeonggi."

Meanwhile, the Northern Gyeonggi Youth Supporters will be active from March to October, and various forms of support, including the awarding of certificates of completion and prizes for outstanding participants, will be provided based on their performance.
