The project to create the "APEC Summit Commemorative Hall" to carry on the historical significance and achievements of the 2025 APEC Summit is being fully launched.

The commemorative hall is scheduled to complete interior and exterior construction work by the end of this year and is being pursued with the goal of opening in August.
The total project cost will be 5 billion won.
Inside the commemorative hall, there will be recreated spaces of the summit conference hall and the Korea-China and Korea-U.S. meeting rooms, as well as exhibition content introducing the APEC legacy.
The core objective is to embody the symbolism and diplomatic significance of the summit at the time through experiential content.
On October 31, a ceremony marking the first anniversary of APEC will be held.
Through the opening ceremony, a retrospective photo exhibition, a cultural exchange exhibition, and a drone show, the city plans to once again impress upon citizens and domestic and international visitors the achievements and value of the summit.
Within this month, Gyeongju City plans to sign an agency agreement with the Gyeongsangbuk-do Culture and Tourism Organization and then begin full-scale design and construction.
Gyeongju City expects that this project will concretize its "post-APEC" strategy and further strengthen the city brand by linking the achievements of hosting the APEC Summit to tourism and exhibition infrastructure, and by leaving them as permanent content in the Bomun Tourist Complex.
Gyeongju Mayor Joo Nak-young emphasized, "The APEC Summit was a historic turning point that connected Gyeongju with the world," adding, "Through the commemorative hall, we will share its achievements and spirit with future generations and further solidify the foundation for Gyeongju to leap forward as an international conference and cultural tourism city."
