Kick-off Briefing Held for Exhibition and Experience Facility Project
Seven Experience Zones and 35 Facilities to Be Established
On the 26th, Daejeon City held a kick-off briefing session for the "Exhibition and Experience Facility Design, Production, and Installation Project" in the city hall conference room, after comprehensively analyzing various types of disasters and safety accidents, user needs, and Daejeon’s regional environment to create an optimal experience space.
A total of 26 people attended the session, including members of the advisory committee for the construction of the Daejeon National Safety Experience Center and officials from the design company.
The Daejeon National Safety Experience Center, which is being promoted with the goal of completion in 2029, aims to create an optimal experience space by comprehensively analyzing various types of disasters and safety accidents, user needs, and Daejeon’s regional environment.
At the briefing session, the city explained the direction of the project to build exhibition and experience facilities for the National Safety Experience Center, for which the final contract was signed on the 13th, and shared the main annual process plans for design, production, and installation.
The Daejeon National Safety Experience Center will consist of seven experience zones, including a specialized laboratory safety experience that reflects the characteristics of Daejeon as a science city, as well as daily life safety, natural disasters, and child safety, and a total of 35 exhibition and experience facilities will be created.
Kwon Ohbong, head of the Safety Policy Division, said, "The Daejeon National Safety Experience Center will go beyond being a simple exhibition space to become a core facility where citizens can directly participate in experiences and strengthen their disaster response capabilities," adding, "We will make it a leading National Safety Experience Center that reflects Daejeon’s characteristics and the future safety environment."
