Twenty Learning Groups Selected, Including the Cheum Area
The County Fully Launches the 2026 First Half Visiting Delivery Lectures Program
Yangpyeong County in Gyeonggi Province (County Mayor Jeon Jinseon) announced on the 26th that, as a result of recruiting learning groups for the “2026 First Half Visiting Delivery Lectures” lifelong learning program through the 20th, it reviewed a total of 29 teams and finally selected 20 teams.
The “Visiting Delivery Lectures” program is a demand-oriented customized support project that allows learners who find it difficult to visit the Maeryeok Campus (Lifelong Learning Center) to design the courses they want and take them at their preferred time and place.
Before this round of recruitment, the county analyzed the 2025 application status in order to ensure a balanced guarantee of lifelong learning opportunities across regions. In particular, it allocated a separate selection quota to the “Cheum Area” (Danwol, Cheongun, and Yangdong), where applications had been low, and additionally selected four learning groups in areas including Danwol-myeon. In addition, so that more residents can benefit, the county decided to avoid routine senior center programs and raised the minimum number of participants per learning group from the previous 5 to 7.
The first half Visiting Delivery Lectures will run from March to June, and within a total of 24 hours per team, learners can freely organize the schedule and content. The county plans to provide lecture fees for the 20 selected teams, and the courses will cover a variety of fields including humanities, health, technology, and arts.
County Mayor Jeon Jinseon said, “The Visiting Delivery Lectures program is an important project that provides lifelong learning opportunities to local residents who have difficulty using the Maeryeok Campus,” adding, “I hope that through creative and diverse programs, residents will be able to enjoy the pleasure of learning.”
Meanwhile, the 2026 second half Visiting Delivery Lectures are scheduled to be operated in July, which is a relatively less busy farming off-season after rice planting, in order to more actively guarantee residents’ right to lifelong learning.
