Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 26th that, in connection with its efforts to have Hoeamsa Temple Site inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, it is conducting an advanced study tour of World Heritage sites in China for its cultural tourism guides to enhance their professional expertise through the 27th.

Cultural tourism guides in Yangju City explain the historical background and significance of cultural heritage to visitors at major tourist attractions such as Hoeamsa Temple Site and the former government office site. They also support customized commentary for group visitors and the operation of experience-linked programs, playing an important role in conveying the value of local tourist attractions and cultural heritage.
Accordingly, the delegation will visit Shaolin Temple in Dengfeng, Longmen Grottoes and Xiangshan Temple in Luoyang, and the Nanjing Tulou in Xiamen to directly examine on-site the systematic methods of preserving and managing World Heritage sites, best practices in interpretation services, and measures for accommodating and managing tourists.
The city plans to use this study tour to further enhance the expertise of its cultural tourism guides and to ensure that the World Heritage value of Hoeamsa Temple Site is conveyed in a systematic way.
An official from Yangju City said, "Hoeamsa Temple Site is a precious cultural asset of Yangju City and a legacy for future generations," adding, "Through this study tour, we will further strengthen the capabilities of our cultural tourism guides and do our utmost to promote the inscription of Hoeamsa Temple Site as a UNESCO World Heritage site."
