The Youth Basic Income is a policy that provides quarterly support payments to young people who meet certain requirements. Eligible applicants are 24-year-olds who, as of the application date, are registered residents of Gapyeong-gun and were born between January 2, 2001 and January 1, 2002. The residency requirement is either continuous residence in Gyeonggi-do for at least the past three years, or a total of at least 10 years of residence in Gyeonggi-do. In particular, those born between January 2 and April 1, 2001 must apply within this period, as this quarter is their last opportunity to apply.

Selected youths will receive 250,000 won per quarter via Gapyeong GP Pay (a local currency card) for one year starting from April 20, up to a maximum of 1 million won per person. For young people who are basic livelihood security recipients, a lump-sum payment of up to 1 million won is also possible instead of quarterly payments. The basic income provided can be used for three years from the payment date, and any amount not used within that period will automatically expire.

Applications can be submitted online through the Gyeonggi-do job platform "Jobaba Apply." The required document is a copy of the resident registration, and basic livelihood security recipients must additionally submit a recipient certificate.
