"Three-Zero Apartment Innovation": Zero Defects, Zero Distrust, Zero Inconvenience
Uijeongbu City in Gyeonggi Province is rolling out its "10 Major Innovation Projects for Apartment Complexes with Three Nos" in succession, spreading change across local construction sites. After opening the door to win-win cooperation through an agreement with HDC Hyundai Development Company, the city has now joined hands with Daewoo E&C Co., Ltd., further strengthening the foundation for mutual growth in the region. As more major construction companies participate one after another, regional win-win agreements are becoming firmly established.

On the 25th, the city signed a "win-win cooperation work agreement for revitalizing the local economy and constructing apartment complexes" with Daewoo E&C Co., Ltd. for a construction project to be carried out on and around lot number 267-8 in Yonghyeon-dong, within the former Korea Electric Power Corporation site. The project is a large-scale development consisting of seven buildings with three basement levels and 25 above-ground floors, accommodating 935 households, and is being pursued with the goal of completion in March 2029.
The main elements of this agreement are: support for win-win cooperation, promotion of participation by local construction companies, and expansion of the use of local resources. The city plans to increase the participation of local companies in the construction of the apartment complex and boost the use of local labor, materials, and equipment so that the local economy can benefit in a tangible way.
In particular, an executive in charge of overall construction at Daewoo E&C Co., Ltd. attended the signing ceremony, expressing the company headquarters' commitment to providing support. Following the previous agreement, executives from the headquarters with decision-making authority have taken part consecutively, which is significant in that it has laid the groundwork for the agreement to be implemented in practice rather than remaining a mere declaration.
An official from Uijeongbu City said, "Following the earlier agreement, participation by major construction companies is expanding," adding, "By steadily promoting the '10 Major Innovation Projects for Apartment Complexes with Three Nos,' we will achieve both revitalization of the local economy and the establishment of a high-quality residential culture."
Going forward, Uijeongbu City plans to continue working with large construction sites within its jurisdiction and to steadily pursue the "10 Major Innovation Projects for Apartment Complexes with Three Nos," thereby achieving its two goals of revitalizing the local economy and establishing a high-quality residential culture at the same time.
