The "Digital Parenting Diary Production" project is aimed at overcoming the low birth rate and is the first program in the country to be carried out in connection with music. It is intended to strengthen emotional bonds within families and promote a harmonious family culture by turning parenting diaries, which were previously written by hand, into digital content.
The project will proceed in a format where family members participate together in writing lyrics to create a storytelling song unique to the family that celebrates the birth of their child. The Guri City Music Creation Center will support the entire music production process, including composition, lyric-writing (guide), recording, and mastering, and will also provide the production of a commemorative video using childcare photos.
The program is open to households with infants up to 24 months after birth, and any family whose registered resident address (or school or workplace) is in Guri City as of the announcement date may apply. Applications can be submitted at each neighborhood Administrative Welfare Center or through the Guri City Music Creation Center website.
Mayor Paek Kyunghyun of Guri City stated, "I believe that to overcome the national challenge of a low birth rate, small actions must come together to create major change," adding, "I hope that through this digital parenting diary production process, families will share the joy of birth together and that the number of even more harmonious households will grow."
