HD Hyundai Electric announced on the 26th that it was selected as an outstanding company at the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency-led "2025 Large and Small-Medium Enterprise Safety and Health Win-Win Cooperation Project" Outstanding Company Awards Ceremony, held on the 25th at the War Memorial of Korea in Yongsan, Seoul.

The Large and Small-Medium Enterprise Safety and Health Win-Win Cooperation Project was first implemented in 2023 as part of the Ministry of Employment and Labor's roadmap to reduce serious industrial accidents. Large companies, their partner companies, and local small and medium-sized enterprises form consortia to carry out activities to strengthen safety and health capabilities, and outstanding companies are selected and awarded each year based on evaluations of their support efforts and results. At this year's Outstanding Company Awards Ceremony, 32 workplaces were selected as outstanding companies out of 223 workplaces nationwide. In particular, HD Hyundai Electric was the only power equipment company to be selected as an outstanding company. HD Hyundai Electric had also been selected as an outstanding company in 2023, the first year of the project's implementation.

HD Hyundai Electric explained that it has provided safety and health consulting to its external partner companies, including comprehensive guidance and inspections on their overall safety and health management systems and risk assessment techniques, to help each company establish its own autonomous safety management system. The company also created communication channels by operating a Win-Win Cooperation Committee and building a worker-participation-based "VOC (Voice Of Customer) Listening Platform." In addition, it introduced a point-based reward system called "HD Safety Pay" to encourage safety activities by employees of in-house partner companies.

As a result, the total number of accidents at participating companies decreased by about 60% over the three years of the project's implementation compared to the previous three-year period. In the "Safety Culture Assessment" conducted for all in-house partner companies, the average score of the three companies participating in the 2025 Win-Win Cooperation Project increased by about 15% compared to 2024, significantly exceeding the average increase for all partner companies.

A representative of HD Hyundai Electric stated, "We have continued to provide tailored support that is genuinely helpful on the ground by strengthening communication with partner companies and local small and medium-sized enterprises," adding, "We will continue to spare no effort in supporting the enhancement of safety and health capabilities of partner companies and local small and medium-sized enterprises."

In July last year, HD Hyundai Electric received the Grand Prize, the highest award, at the "2025 Large and Small-Medium Enterprise Safety and Health Win-Win Cooperation Activity Best Practices Presentation Contest" hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency.
