The Seopyeonje Boseong Sori Festival received high marks for promoting both the preservation and popularization of traditional arts by operating nationwide pansori competitions, master singer performances, traditional arts experience programs, and resident-participation cultural events, all based on Boseong's cultural identity as the home of the Seopyeonje school of pansori.

In particular, it was recognized for its competitiveness as one of Korea's leading traditional arts festivals thanks to its authoritative nationwide pansori competitions, high-quality performance content, and programs linked with local tourism resources.

In addition, in last year's evaluation of traditional performing arts competition festivals organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the festival received the highest S grade, once again proving its excellence in terms of content quality, operational capacity, and audience satisfaction.

A county official said, "Winning the grand prize for five consecutive years is thanks to the efforts of the gugak artists, residents, and festival officials who have safeguarded traditional arts," adding, "We will continue to develop the Seopyeonje Boseong Sori Festival into a leading gugak festival that attracts people from all over the world, beyond just Korea."

Meanwhile, Boseong-gun plans to further strengthen the authority of the pansori competition, expand exchanges and participation among gugak artists, and thereby enhance the festival's competitiveness. The 28th Seopyeonje Boseong Sori Festival is scheduled to be held from May 2 to May 4 this year at and around the Boseong-gun Culture and Arts Center.
