Open List -> Store Delivery, Baemin Takeout Order -> Pickup
Separating Advertising from Orders for More Intuitive, On-the-Ground-Informed Names
Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baemin, announced on February 26 that it will revamp the names of services for its merchant partners.
This revamp focuses on updating the names of Baemin services used by partners so that they better reflect the current delivery methods, purposes, and structures, and the changes will take effect immediately as of today.
Baemin has reclassified the services for partners, which had previously been grouped under "advertising products," into two categories: "order types" and "advertising."
The company has clearly separated the services that are fundamentally required to receive orders from the advertising products used for additional exposure, so that partners can easily understand and choose at a glance.
"Order types" refer to the services that stores basically use on Baemin to receive orders. "Advertising" refers to products that partners who want additional exposure for their stores can voluntarily select and utilize.
The names of each service under the order types category will be changed to match the actual delivery method. Baemin 1 Plus will be renamed "Baemin Delivery," Open List will be renamed "Store Delivery," and Baemin Takeout Order will be renamed "Pickup," respectively.
This reflects feedback that it was difficult to recognize which services the existing names were linked to, and that the distinction between essential services and optional additional advertising was not intuitive.
By clearly distinguishing and explaining the functions and roles of each service, the company expects to improve partners' understanding and convenience. It also expects that reorganizing the names for partners to align with the services provided to consumers will help partners establish more efficient store operation strategies.
The revised service names will be applied to the Baemin Food Service Plaza website, self-service channels, publications, and terms of use. In line with this revamp, Baemin plans to update its guidelines and provide ongoing information. These changes apply only to service names and classifications.
Baemin has continuously reflected on-site opinions from the restaurant industry in its services in order to build a platform that partners can use more easily.
A representative example is "Baemin Partners Voice." Baemin Partners Voice is a participatory communication council where Baemin and its merchant partners directly exchange opinions on services and policies in general, and it has achieved results by reflecting issues derived from these discussions in actual service improvements.
A Baemin official said, "We carried out this naming revamp to minimize confusion when using the services and to help partners focus more on store operations and increasing sales," adding, "We will continue to build a consistent service framework that is easy to understand from the partners' perspective."
