About 200 people attended the event, including Kim Kyungil, mayor of Paju, National Assembly member Park Jeong, Park Daesung, chairperson of the Paju City Council, city and provincial council members, officials from related organizations, and local residents, to celebrate the start of the center's construction.

The Intergenerational Complex Support Center will be built with a total project cost of 37.285 billion won. It will have one basement floor and four above-ground floors, with a total floor area of 7,726.57 square meters, and is scheduled to be completed in October 2027.

The center will house six facilities in total: the Paju City Childcare Support Center, a Youth Culture Center, an Out-of-School Youth Support Center, a Children's and Social Welfare Meal Service Management Support Center, a Youth Support Center, and the Geumchon 2-dong Community Service Center. It will be created as an integrated complex support space that provides customized services for each stage of life, covering infants and toddlers, adolescents, young adults, and local residents.

In particular, the Childcare Support Center will serve as a core facility that systematically provides professional counseling for families with infants and toddlers, parent education, and support for childcare programs. It is expected to play a major role in easing the childcare burden on parents of young children in Paju and in creating a stable child-rearing environment.

An official from Paju City said, "The Intergenerational Complex Support Center will become a central space for local care and communication that all generations, from children to seniors, can use together. In particular, we will create an environment where parents of young children can raise their kids with peace of mind and thereby realize 'Paju, a good city for raising children'."
