Otis Elevator Korea announced on the 26th that it will newly install Otis's advanced elevator, Gen3®, in the large-scale apartment complex "GS Xi Firsnity" in Pyeongchon, Gyeonggi Province.
Otis Worldwide is a global leader in the manufacture, installation, service, and modernization of elevators and escalators.
GS Xi Firsnity, which will be built by GS Engineering & Construction, is a premium residential complex that is expected to become a landmark in the area. The mammoth-scale development will consist of thousands of households in a complex ranging from three basement levels to 33 above-ground floors.
Otis Korea plans to supply a total of 82 Gen3 machine-room-less (MRL) elevators to the complex. Because the Gen3 MRL does not require a separate machine room, it can reduce the space needed inside the building and thereby offer more options for diverse spatial design.
