The Win-Win Cooperation Project for Occupational Safety and Health between Large and Small-Medium Enterprises is a program in which large corporations and small-medium enterprises voluntarily cooperate to build and spread occupational safety and health management systems. Among the 233 companies that participated in this project, 32 companies, including Samsung Electro-Mechanics, were selected as excellent companies.
Since 2023, Samsung Electro-Mechanics has been participating in this project and has carried out tailored support activities for a total of 20 partner companies inside and outside the company and local small-medium enterprises. The company dispatched in-house experts in various fields, including risk assessment, electricity, fire protection, and occupational safety and health.
Key activities included: providing consultation on risk assessment and improvement of working environments through professional consulting organizations; holding occupational safety and health seminars focused on the latest issues such as the Serious Accident Punishment Act and the right to stop work; and supporting 26 categories of essential on-site occupational safety and health supplies. Through these efforts, the company has been recognized for substantially raising the level of occupational safety and health management at small-medium enterprises.
Jung Haeseok, Vice President of Samsung Electro-Mechanics, said, "The safety of our partner companies and the local community is a core value directly linked to the competitiveness of Samsung Electro-Mechanics," adding, "We will continue to do our best to create a win-win ecosystem in which all stakeholders, including our partner companies, can work with peace of mind."

In addition to these occupational safety and health support activities, Samsung Electro-Mechanics is operating various win-win cooperation programs to promote joint growth with its partner companies. The company is taking the lead in building a communication-based win-win ecosystem by providing financial support through win-win funds and for the establishment of smart factories; carrying out on-site improvement activities in areas such as productivity enhancement, quality innovation, and safety and environment; and offering customized competency-building training by job function and organizational level, including specialized technical training.
Meanwhile, the Busan plant of Samsung Electro-Mechanics also plays a pivotal role in the regional economy in terms of employment and industry. With approximately 5,000 employees currently working there, it is the largest employment site in the Busan area and makes a significant contribution to creating local jobs.
In addition, in line with the expansion of the artificial intelligence (AI) and automotive electronics components markets, Samsung Electro-Mechanics plans to develop the Busan plant into a core production base for key components and to further strengthen its global technological competitiveness.
