The Daegu Regional Employment and Labor Office (Commissioner Hwang Jongcheol) announced on the 24th that it will launch the Daegu Youth Specialized Employment Center to provide close support for successful employment of local youth.
The Daegu Specialized Employment Center, in cooperation with the Daegu Seobu Employment Center and the Gyeongsan Employment Center, will promote the provision of employment support services linked to regional new growth industries such as future mobility, bio and medical health, and digital content and games, in order to help young people preparing for employment.
The core strategy is the "Three-Stage Youth Employment Hi-Pass Project," which supports young people preparing for employment in stages, from "regaining confidence to gaining practical experience."
Stage 1 (Interview Free-Pass Project) will strengthen the employment capabilities of young people so that they can get a job immediately by providing small-group consulting and practical mock interviews.
Stage 2 (National Employment Support Master-Level Project) will provide customized employment pathway design and intensive job placement through in-depth counseling based on AI job care for young participants in the National Employment Support System.
Stage 3 (Work Experience Growth Project) will actively support work experience opportunities by discovering large corporations and public institutions, which are highly preferred by young people, as well as outstanding companies in new growth industries such as IT and future mobility.
The Daegu Specialized Employment Center has set a target of supporting about 3,000 young job seekers per year and plans to provide a variety of employment services, actively cooperate with related organizations such as local governments, University Job Plus Centers, and youth centers to jointly discover hidden jobs at local strong small and medium-sized enterprises, and hold recruitment events on a regular basis.
Job seekers wishing to participate in the Specialized Employment Center programs can apply by visiting or calling the Daegu Employment Center, the Daegu Seobu Employment Center, or the Gyeongsan Employment Center.
Kim Sunjae, head of the Daegu Employment Center, said, "We hope that the Daegu Specialized Employment Center will become a solid stepping stone for local youth preparing for employment," adding, "We will make every effort, in close cooperation with related local organizations, to help young people successfully enter regional new growth industries and settle down in the region."
