LG Uplus announced on the 23rd that it will unveil ixi-O Pro, a next-generation AI agent, at the Mobile World Congress 2026 (MWC26), the world's largest mobile trade show, in Barcelona, Spain, on the 2nd of next month (local time). LG Uplus employees presenting ixi-O. Photo by LG Uplus.
ixi-O Pro is a next-generation agent that comprehensively understands users' everyday data such as calls, text messages, and schedules, and proactively suggests information tailored to each situation. For example, even if the user does not explicitly call ixi-O, it can automatically organize schedules or to-do items mentioned during a call. LG Uplus plans to move beyond its existing AI call application (app) ixi-O, which merely recorded calls or reacted to customer requests, and expand the service into a communication partner to realize "people-centered AI."
LG Uplus plans to showcase at MWC26 how ixi-O can expand without restrictions on place or device. The company aims to present a super agent that connects anywhere based on the customer's voice, with its space expanding not only to smartphones but also to the home, workplace, vehicles, and robots. An LG Uplus official said, "Through this MWC26 exhibition, we will inform the global market that ixi-O is evolving into a hyper-personalized AI assistant that understands and protects customers' daily lives," adding, "By providing the two values of convenience and safety at the same time, it presents a clear direction for future AI services."
At MWC26, LG Uplus also plans to unveil a real-time joint response system for telecom and financial voice phishing in cooperation with KB Kookmin Bank. By linking ixi-O's AI voice phishing detection technology with KB Kookmin Bank's abnormal transaction monitoring system, this collaboration framework can block suspected phishing signs detected at the telecommunications stage before any financial transaction takes place. ixi-O shares with KB Kookmin Bank information such as suspected voice phishing patterns and whether malicious apps are installed, and KB Kookmin Bank monitors abnormal transactions by integrating this with its own monitoring system.
Choi Yoonho, Head of the AI Business Group at LG Uplus, said, "ixi-O is evolving into a hyper-personalized AI assistant that understands customer context and offers help first," adding, "Through new features and collaboration cases with the financial sector, we will present a new standard that allows customers to use AI services with peace of mind."
