Kumoh National Institute of Technology Holds 2025 Academic Year Spring Degree Conferment Ceremony

A total of 1,092 degrees conferred, including 910 bachelor’s
Hoping they will grow into talents who will extend their reach across the world in their respective fields

Kumoh National Institute of Technology held the "2025 Academic Year Spring Degree Conferment Ceremony" at the main auditorium of the university main building on the 20th. This spring, a total of 1,092 degrees were conferred, including 910 bachelor's, 154 master's, and 28 doctoral degrees.

Attending the ceremony were President Kim Sangho, university executives, the student representatives receiving degrees and their families, and graduates, as well as guests who came to congratulate and encourage them, including Gumi Mayor Kim Jangho, Development Support Association Chair Gwak Hyeongeun, General Alumni Association President Jang Segwang, Graduate School General Alumni Association President Won Jonguk, and Advanced Management Program Alumni Association President Heo Baekyeong. Gyeongsangbuk-do Governor Lee Cheolwoo, National Assembly member for Gumi-gap Gu Jagun, and National Assembly member for Gumi-eul Kang Myeonggu sent congratulatory messages.


The ceremony, which began with President Kim Sangho’s commencement address, proceeded in the following order: congratulatory remarks by guests; conferral of bachelor’s diplomas; conferral of master’s and doctoral degrees; remarks by the representative of the graduating class; awards for outstanding academic performance; special and external commendations (including citations from members of the National Assembly); presentation of outstanding thesis awards, graduation thesis awards, and special graduation awards; and the singing of the university anthem.


Delivering the address on behalf of the graduating class, student Lee Jaeyoung (Department of Electronic Engineering graduate) said, "On behalf of the graduates, I would like to express my gratitude to our parents, professors, and many members of the university who have helped us reach this honorable graduation," adding, "We will now face countless challenges on the new stage of society, but based on the diverse learning experiences we gained at the university, I will become a proud member of Kumoh who can contribute to society."


Kim Sangho, President of Kumoh National Institute of Technology, said, "I sincerely offer my congratulations and words of encouragement to the graduates who are beginning a new journey, and I hope that, based on the knowledge and experience you have accumulated at the university, you will grow into talents who will extend your reach across the world in your respective fields."


He added, "Kumoh National Institute of Technology will also continue to take on challenges, grow, and advance so that it will always remain an alma mater that you, as graduates, can be proud of."
