Seongju County and Dalseo District Sister Cities Hold "2026 Lunar New Year Seongju Agricultural Specialties Direct Sales" Event

On February 13, Seongju County in North Gyeongsang Province held a local agricultural specialties sales event at its sister organization, Dalseo District Office, in order to expand sales channels and increase the income of local farmers.

The event took pre-order reservations for Seongju County agricultural and specialty products from Dalseo District public officials, related organizations, and residents, and then delivered the orders. Small and medium-sized farms, which usually struggle to secure distribution networks and promote their products, took part and achieved sales of more than 10 million won by offering Seongju County's premium agricultural specialties such as chamoe (Korean melon), sweet potatoes, shiitake mushrooms, chamoe yugwa (traditional Korean sweets), and chamoe jam.

By supplying high-quality agricultural specialties to consumers at more reasonable prices than in the general market, the event received a strong response, helped stabilize prices for the Lunar New Year season, and provided an opportunity to strengthen exchanges between the two regions.

An official from Seongju County said, "Dalseo District is our closest sister city, and we will continue to work harder to promote friendship and mutually beneficial development between urban and rural areas. We will also keep organizing meaningful events that can promote our county's excellent agricultural specialties to consumers and help increase farm household income."
