Recognized for Systematic Performance in Overall Civil Complaint Administration
Goseong County in Gyeongsangnam-do has been selected as an excellent institution among county-level governments in the “2025 Comprehensive Evaluation of Civil Complaint Services,” jointly organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
According to the county on the 11th, following its reaccreditation under the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s “Civil Complaint Office for Citizens’ Happiness” program, it received a “Grade B - Excellent Institution” rating in the “2025 Comprehensive Evaluation of Civil Complaint Services.” In particular, the county explained that it received uniformly high marks for its overall efforts to improve civil complaint administration, including: the head of the institution’s performance in promoting civil complaint administration; systematic operation of the civil complaint administration management system; protection of vulnerable civil petitioners and enhancement of convenience for persons with disabilities; and strengthening of systems to protect civil complaint officers.
The comprehensive evaluation of civil complaint services assesses the overall level of civil complaint administration across a total of 308 institutions, including central administrative agencies nationwide, local governments, and metropolitan and provincial offices of education. Grades are determined by combining quantitative and qualitative assessments based on 20 indicators across 5 areas: civil complaint administration strategies and systems; operation of civil complaint systems; handling of complaints filed through the National Petition Portal and grievance complaints; and satisfaction with civil complaint services.
A county official said, “This outcome reflects not only the results of civil complaint handling, but also our efforts to review and improve the entire handling process,” adding, “We will continue to put ourselves in the shoes of county residents and do our utmost to provide swift and fair civil complaint services that residents can truly feel.”
Meanwhile, Goseong County plans to continue working to improve its civil complaint services by consistently promoting measures such as expanding communication with civil petitioners, providing training for civil complaint officers, and strengthening internal inspections to enhance convenience and reliability for civil petitioners.
