On February 9, the Banks Foundation for Young Entrepreneurs (D.CAMP) announced that it is recruiting companies to participate in “D.CAMP Batch 7,” a program to discover promising startups in the IT (information technology) services and solutions sector.
D.CAMP Batch is a scaling-up support program targeting startups from pre-Series A to Series A stages that have already launched products or services in the market. This seventh cohort is open to IT services and solutions companies with a corporate valuation between 10 billion won and 30 billion won. Companies wishing to participate can apply through the D.CAMP website until March 16.
For this cohort, major venture capital (VC) firms such as Base Ventures, A Ventures, Capstone Partners, and Crew Capital will join as partners and will jointly conduct startup selection and investment. D.CAMP will announce the results of the document screening in April, and after in-depth interviews, it will select the final successful teams on May 29.
The selected companies will participate in the batch program for one year starting in July and will also receive the benefit of moving into Front1 in Mapo-gu, Seoul, for 18 months. In particular, they will be assigned a dedicated mentor and project manager who will provide close coaching across all aspects of management, from strategy development and product development to sales and human resources. In addition, they will receive practical support for business growth, including business linkage (PoC) with large corporations and public institutions, and the expansion of global networks.
Startups that complete the program will also appear on the “D.Day” stage, where they share their achievements and discuss follow-on investment and collaboration.
Founders who have previously gone through the program are also giving positive reviews. At an event held last month, Cho Changhyeon, CEO of One Self World, who participated in Batch 1, said, “It was a great help that the mentors and the D.CAMP team thought about the company’s growth as if it were their own,” adding, “I strongly recommend that any founder who dreams of systematic growth take on this challenge.” Based on this support, One Self World achieved 6 billion won in sales last year, recording growth of more than 1,500 percent compared with the previous year.
