Busan Office of Education Assigns 384 Administrators and Educational Professionals

Personnel Changes for 203 Kindergarten and Elementary, 88 Secondary School Administrators... Strengthening Momentum for Advancing Future Education

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced on February 6 the regular personnel appointments effective March 1 for a total of 384 individuals, including administrators of kindergartens, elementary schools, and secondary schools, as well as educational professionals.

In these appointments, 203 administrators were assigned to kindergartens and elementary schools, and 88 to secondary schools. For kindergartens and elementary schools, a total of 92 principals and heads of kindergartens were appointed or assigned, including 58 through promotion, open recruitment, transfer, or renewal of term, and 34 through reassignment. In addition, 111 vice principals and assistant heads of kindergartens changed positions, including 49 through promotion or transfer and 62 through reassignment.

In secondary schools, a total of 38 principals were appointed or assigned, including 27 through promotion, transfer, or renewal of term, and 11 through reassignment. For vice principals, 50 were appointed or assigned, including 24 through promotion or transfer and 26 through reassignment.

In addition, to actively promote “Human-Centered Future Education Leading the AI Era,” one of its four key policy tasks for this year, the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education issued promotion, transfer, and reassignment orders for a total of 93 educational professionals, including 47 in kindergarten and elementary education and 46 in secondary education.

Busan Metropolitan City Superintendent of Education Kim Seokjun said, “Based on the firm vision that ‘even in the AI era, people remain at the center of education,’ these personnel appointments were carried out fairly and transparently to realize an educational environment in Busan where students are happy and teachers are respected,” adding, “We will assign school administrators and educational professionals who combine expertise with integrity to the right positions, communicate with all members of the education community, and thereby realize ‘Advancing Together Toward the Future: Leading Education in Busan.’”
