Hamyang County Recruiting “2026 Tourism Social Media Promotion Corps” with Participation from Private Creators

Open to participants nationwide...Expanding the reach of tourism content expected
Selected promotion corps members to be active for 10 months from March through December

Hamyang County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on February 4 that it is recruiting the “2026 Hamyang Tourism Social Media Promotion Corps,” which will promote the appeal of local tourism through the creative perspectives of private creators.

Any adult aged 18 or older who actively runs a personal social media account (blog, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) may apply regardless of place of residence, and approximately eight people will be selected.

The application period runs from February 4 to 25, and those finally selected will carry out activities for about 10 months, from March through December.

Members of the promotion corps will receive a letter of appointment, and a set activity fee will be paid according to their performance. They will produce content on Hamyang’s diverse tourism resources, including experiences, travel, local restaurants, and festivals, post it on their personal social media accounts, and also take part in promotional activities for the county’s official social media channels and tourism-dedicated channels.

In particular, the corps plans to actively utilize the currently popular short-form content format to enhance the competitiveness of Hamyang’s digital tourism promotion.

An official from Hamyang County said, “By operating this social media promotion corps, we will actively leverage the private sector’s creative content production capabilities for tourism promotion and strengthen communication with a wide range of potential visitors, including Millennials & Gen Z,” adding, “We look forward to the participation of many passionate people who can convey the hidden charms of Hamyang tourism with sincerity.”
