Gyeonggi Province is publicly recruiting 100 members for its "Population Policy Residents' Participation Group."
The participation group will be active in four areas: marriage, pregnancy, and childbirth; childrearing and care; youth; and middle-aged and older adults (baby boomers. Members will write first-hand accounts in the form of essays about the before-and-after process of using policies in their daily lives, the tangible effects they have felt, and areas in need of improvement, and will also carry out awareness-raising and culture-spreading activities that reflect the perspective of provincial residents.
Gyeonggi Province plans to focus on enhancing the substance of the operation of the residents' participation group this year. It plans to increase the sustainability of members' activities by providing incentives to outstanding participants and offering capacity-building training once in the first half and once in the second half of the year.
Applicants must have their resident registration address in Gyeonggi Province as of the date of application. Eligible applicants are those who are interested in population policy, can write essays based on their real-life experiences, and are able to participate in both online and offline activities.
This is an honorary position and no separate salary will be paid. However, a certain amount of activity expenses will be provided in the form of manuscript fees for the first-hand essays and a fixed monthly allowance for awareness-raising activities.
Applications must be submitted by email (gg-people@gg.go.kr) by February 12 this month. Detailed information can be found in the notices and announcements section on the Gyeonggi Province website (gg.go.kr).
Gyeonggi Province will individually notify applicants of the selection results sometime in February, based on a comprehensive review of their documents and suitability for the program's operation.
