Snow or rain in Gyeonggi and Gangwon

On the 4th, which marks Ipchun (the beginning of spring), daytime temperatures will rise above 10 degrees Celsius, bringing mild weather. The morning low is expected to range from minus 8 to 2 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high from 4 to 12 degrees Celsius.

While skies will be mostly cloudy nationwide, there may be light rain of less than 0.1 centimeters in northeastern Gyeonggi in the afternoon, and in inland and mountainous areas of central and northern Gangwon from late afternoon into the night.

As snow continues to accumulate mainly in inland areas across the country, the snow that melts during the day may refreeze overnight, creating icy roads and thin ice on road surfaces in many places. Caution is advised for both drivers and pedestrians.

Waves will range from 0.5 to 1.5 meters off the east coast and from 0.5 to 1.0 meters off the west and south coasts. In the outer offshore waters (the open sea within about 200 kilometers of the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea and West Sea, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the South Sea.
