According to Korea Aerospace University on February 2, the admissions office released the early results for the 2026 regular admissions on January 30.

However, just a few hours after the announcement, the university notified applicants via text message that "due to the need to recalculate scores, the announcement of successful candidates has been canceled and will be re-announced at a later date." The university then re-announced the results for the regular admissions at 2 p.m. on February 2.

Applicants expressed frustration as the results were reversed in such a short period. Those whose admissions were canceled, in particular, voiced strong dissatisfaction with the university's inconsistent administrative handling.

Some pointed out that, considering the application period for regular admissions ended on December 31 of the previous year, it is difficult to understand why a system error was not detected in advance despite having a month before the announcement of successful candidates.

The university explained, "The issue occurred due to a system error during the transfer of students' scores, which caused several science inquiry subjects to be omitted," adding, "Because there was a large amount of original data, we were not able to detect the omission in advance."

The university stated that it plans to individually apologize to applicants whose admissions were reversed.
