Participation in the AHR Expo
AI HVAC Technology Tailored for North American Climate and Residential Environments
Samsung Electronics participated in the AHR Expo, the largest HVAC exhibition in North America, held in Las Vegas, USA, and showcased HVAC products specialized for the North American market along with AI-based integrated device management features.
The AHR Expo, which runs from February 2 to 4 (local time), is an exhibition organized by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), where more than 1,800 global companies present their latest products and technologies each year.

At this exhibition, Samsung Electronics prepared a 350-square-meter (approximately 100-pyeong) booth and unveiled a broad lineup of HVAC products for both residential and commercial spaces under the theme of “Enabling a Better Everyday.”
The main products on display included: the “HiRex R454B” outdoor unit, which applies inverter technology to residential unitary systems commonly used in North America; the “Mono R32” lineup of residential EHS products using heat pump technology for high-efficiency heating and hot water supply in various climate conditions; the “DVM S2+,” a large-capacity system air conditioner that utilizes AI to learn from its environment and provide optimized solutions; and the Bespoke AI WindFree air conditioner.
These products are characterized by the use of low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants, in consideration of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations on refrigerant conversion.

Samsung Electronics also set up a dedicated space at the AHR Expo where visitors could experience “SmartThings Pro,” an AI-based B2B solution that enables integrated management of building devices and energy savings.
“SmartThings Pro” is an AI-based B2B solution that provides high energy efficiency and integrated space management functions tailored to a variety of spaces and purposes, such as residential areas, offices, and commercial buildings. Users can view real-time energy usage, energy-saving points, and automation features based on user routines at a glance through the “SmartThings Pro Dashboard.”
In 2024, Samsung Electronics established a joint venture with the U.S. HVAC company Lennox to actively target the North American HVAC market. Last year, the company expanded its global HVAC competitiveness by acquiring Fl?ktGroup, the largest HVAC equipment company in Europe.
Additionally, Samsung Electronics operates test labs in various environments around the world, including Sweden and Japan, to develop high-efficiency and high-performance HVAC solutions.
Lim Sungtaek, Executive Vice President of the Digital Appliances (DA) Division at Samsung Electronics, said, “At this exhibition, visitors can experience not only the performance of individual HVAC products but also powerful heating and cooling and efficient energy management functions based on AI and connectivity in spaces designed to replicate real-world environments. We will continue to strengthen our leadership in the global HVAC market through innovations optimized for the diverse forms and purposes of different spaces.”
