Expanding Market Opportunities for Local Farmers
Hamyang County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on February 3 that it successfully concluded the "New Year's Hamyang Dried Persimmons and Agricultural Specialties Special Sales Event in Goyang City," which was held for three days from January 30 to February 1 at the outdoor parking lot of Goyang Hanaro Mart.
This event was organized ahead of the Lunar New Year to directly showcase a variety of Hamyang County's signature agricultural specialties and processed foods-including dried persimmons, semi-dried persimmons, wild ginseng, wild greens, teas, vegetable chips, and extracts-to consumers in the greater Seoul area. Eight local dried persimmon farms and ten agricultural specialty companies participated in the event.

In addition, various customer engagement programs-including agricultural product giveaways and gift certificate promotions-were held, further increasing visitor satisfaction and contributing to a lively atmosphere at the event.
An official from Hamyang County stated, "With this special sales event as a starting point, we will continue to expand the promotion and direct sales of our agricultural specialties, especially in the greater Seoul area. We also plan to actively support farmers in increasing their income and securing stable sales channels in the future."
