Raised 4,166,690,000 Won, 225% of the 1,847,520,000 Won Target
Haman County, South Gyeongsang Province, announced on February 2 that it had raised 4,166,690,000 won through the 'Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign,' which was launched to help neighbors in need during the year-end and New Year season. This amount is 225% of the campaign's target of 1,847,520,000 won.
Despite ongoing economic burdens such as high inflation and high interest rates, the campaign received an enthusiastic response thanks to the active participation of individuals, institutions, organizations, businesses, and social groups from all walks of life.
In particular, a wide range of donations-from small contributions to large sums-continued steadily, further highlighting the significance of a participatory culture of sharing that is taking root in the local community, with residents coming together to make a difference.
The funds collected through the 'Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign' will be distributed via the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea to support local low-income families, households in crisis, seniors living alone, people with disabilities, and others in welfare blind spots, as well as social welfare facilities.
Haman County plans to ensure that the donated funds are managed and distributed with the utmost transparency and fairness, so that they reach those who need them most.

County Governor Cho Geunje said, "I sincerely thank everyone who chose to put neighbors first and participate in sharing, even under difficult circumstances. Achieving 225% of our target is more than just a number-it is the result of the warm-heartedness of the Haman County community, where, true to the name Haman, everyone cares for each other so that all can live in comfort together."
He added, "We will continue to carefully look after neighbors in need and strive to realize a warm welfare administration where sharing becomes a part of everyday life."
Meanwhile, Haman County discovers and supports those in welfare blind spots every year through the 'Hope Sharing Campaign,' and continues to expand public-private partnership activities to create a warm local community that all residents can experience firsthand.
