The meeting was attended by Jeong Soongil, Director of Autonomous Administration at Changwon City, as well as other relevant public officials such as the Director of Lifelong Education, and by Cho Youngtae, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Changwon National University and Head of the Glocal University Project Group, along with other stakeholders.

During the meeting, the two organizations exchanged views on the progress of major Glocal University initiatives, discussed the direction of the project and budget execution plans for 2026, and explored ways to ensure ongoing administrative and financial cooperation.

Since being selected as a Glocal University in 2024, Changwon National University has been accelerating the establishment of a regional innovation foundation through phased project implementation. Gyeongsangnam-do Province and Changwon City are also supporting the stable progress of the project by allocating related budgets.

Jeong Soongil, Director of Autonomous Administration, stated, "This meeting served as an opportunity for communication to develop the Glocal University Project into a practical cooperation model that grows together with the region, going beyond simple university innovation. Changwon City will also actively cooperate by strengthening ties with local industries and related organizations to ensure that Changwon National University's Glocal University Project leads to tangible results."

Meanwhile, the two organizations plan to continue sharing project updates through regular consultations and to further solidify a cooperative system that fosters mutual growth between the region and the university.
