Videos shared on social media platforms such as X (formerly Twitter) show the thieves repeatedly striking and breaking the store's glass window with a large hammer, then sweeping the displayed jewelry into a blue bag. The incident took place during the day while the store was open.

Although employees were present in the store at the time, they were unable to stop the thieves. The footage shows one employee across the display case attempting to block the thieves while holding a small box. Another employee reportedly tried to move the displayed jewelry further inside the store. Witnesses watching from a shop across the street were shocked and shouted, "Call the police."

Online users who saw the video reacted by saying, "Why did no one stop the thieves?", "It's truly lawless," "It's unbelievable that this happened in broad daylight," "Such robberies seem to have become common in London," and "Couldn't the person filming have helped?"

The thieves fled after taking the displayed jewelry and have not yet been apprehended. The London Metropolitan Police have classified the incident as a major theft and are conducting an investigation, requesting information from witnesses. The jewelry store, which was victimized, is a family-run business that has reportedly operated in the area for over 45 years.
