Hana Card announced on February 2 that it is implementing various support initiatives for small business owners, including an early payment program for sales proceeds totaling 12 trillion won.

First, the early payment of sales proceeds will be advanced from "D+1 day" after the purchase date to "D+0 day," meaning immediate payment. This support is available to 2 million small merchants affiliated with Hana Card. The early payment program will begin this month and continue until the end of the year. It is expected to provide tangible and immediate help to small business owners who are struggling with cash flow due to the current challenging economic conditions.

This support program is part of Hana Card's efforts to fulfill its corporate social responsibility and promote mutual growth with financially vulnerable groups, in line with Hana Financial Group's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management strategy. Previously, in July 2023, Hana Card also implemented a 300 billion won financial support program for mutual growth, running the early payment program for about 19 months to support small business liquidity.

In addition, Hana Card plans to launch a support project for small business merchant partners to stimulate consumption. As part of efforts to help small businesses increase their sales, the company will offer 2-3 month interest-free installment benefits to customers who use Hana Card at selected small business merchant partners with annual sales of 1 billion won or less, focusing on those with a high proportion of high-value transactions, during the first quarter.

Furthermore, the group supports mutual growth by launching customized products and related services for small business owners under its financial brand "HANA THE SOHO," which specializes in small business finance. Notable examples include the "HANA THE SOHO Credit Card" for sole proprietors, launched in March last year, and the "Owner Service" based on MyData.

The HANA THE SOHO Credit Card focuses on providing benefits for key business-related expenses such as telecommunications, fuel, and delivery fees, helping business owners operate stably and reduce the burden of business-related sales expenses. The Owner Service offers a comprehensive store diagnosis service free of charge by analyzing the surrounding commercial area, providing store information, and delivering detailed reports on customer visits using sales data.

Hana Card CEO Sung Youngsoo said, "We hope this support initiative will serve as a catalyst for mutual growth with small business owners and vulnerable groups," adding, "We will continue to play the role of a reliable financial partner for small business owners through support programs that provide real, practical benefits."
