K-food Achieves 4 Billion Won, K-beauty Reaches 3 Billion Won in Exports
Home&Shopping announced on February 2 that its export performance reached 10 billion won last year.
In particular, with the global spread of K-content, both K-food and K-beauty received an enthusiastic response from overseas consumers, resulting in significant achievements. By category, K-food recorded export sales of approximately 4 billion won, while K-beauty achieved about 3 billion won. Health foods, ready-to-eat meals, and functional cosmetics that matched local consumption trends became the main export items.
Home&Shopping has operated a comprehensive export support program focused on major overseas markets such as the United States, China, and Southeast Asia. This program included supporting the entry of a total of 74 outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises into local online platforms, connecting them to offline distribution channels, and providing marketing and logistics support. In addition, Home&Shopping organized joint exhibition booths at major domestic and international trade shows-including the LA Korean World Business Convention (April), InterCHARM Korea (July), and the Jakarta Premium Consumer Goods Exhibition (September)-to help small and medium-sized enterprises struggling to expand overseas find practical sales channels.
This year, the company plans to go beyond simple sales connections by expanding its support to include analysis of local consumer responses and brand localization strategies, thereby focusing on establishing a sustainable export base for small and medium-sized enterprises.
A Home&Shopping representative stated, "Our strategy of proactively discovering competitive SME products for overseas markets and focusing on practical sales connections has led to meaningful results. Moving forward, we will continue to systematically support the global expansion of promising SMEs, including those in K-beauty and K-food, and further expand our export achievements."
