Kwak Hospital Delivers 2 Tons of Rice to Jung-gu Office in Daegu: "Giving Back the Love Received from the Community"

On January 30, Kwak Hospital of Unkyung Medical Foundation (Director Donghyup Kwak) visited the Jung-gu Office in Daegu (Mayor Gyuha Ryu) and donated 200 bags of 10kg white rice each as part of the "Sharing Love through Rice" campaign.

This donation of white rice was made possible through the collective efforts of Kwak Hospital staff and patients, and will be distributed to low-income and vulnerable households in the district through each neighborhood administrative welfare center.

Unkyung Medical Foundation has continued to spread warmth in the local community by engaging in sharing activities to help marginalized neighbors through the Jung-gu Office every year, following a donation of 10 million won for neighborly assistance in December last year.

Director Donghyup Kwak stated, "I believe that giving back to the community is the social responsibility of a medical institution," and added, "We will continue to share warmth so that our neighbors can enjoy a warm holiday in the future."

Mayor Gyuha Ryu of Jung-gu expressed his gratitude, saying, "I deeply appreciate Kwak Hospital of Unkyung Medical Foundation and all the staff for donating not only year-end funds but also white rice. Such acts of sharing are what make our community warmer and stronger."
