[Asset Disclosure] Deputy Prime Minister Koo Yoon-chul 4.78 Billion KRW... Fair Trade Commission Chairperson 2.57 Billion KRW

Koo Yoon-chul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, reported assets of approximately 4.8 billion KRW, a decrease of 280 million KRW compared to his asset declaration at the personnel hearing in July of last year.

According to the "Occasional Asset Registration Details of High-ranking Public Officials" released by the Government Public Officials Ethics Committee on January 30, the total assets of Deputy Prime Minister Koo, his spouse, and two children amounted to 4,788,370,000 KRW.

In July of last year, as a nominee, he reported a total of 5,070,210,000 KRW in his personnel hearing request, but this amount has decreased by about 280 million KRW. This decrease is due to a reduction in the value of an apartment subscription right.

The largest portion of the assets is held in deposits, with Koo, his spouse, and their children collectively holding 3,454,010,000 KRW. Koo himself holds 2,167,650,000 KRW in deposits under his name, while his spouse holds 1,119,790,000 KRW.

In terms of real estate, his spouse owns an apartment subscription right (112.85㎡) for "The H Firstier I-Park" in Gaepo-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The value of this subscription right was reported as 1,224,000,000 KRW. Currently, apartments in this complex are trading at around 4 billion KRW.

Koo owns two vehicles under his name: a 2022 Genesis G80 (valued at 32.48 million KRW) and a 2009 Genesis (valued at 2.88 million KRW).

He also reported a private bond of 75 million KRW under his own name.

Joo Byungki, Chairperson of the Fair Trade Commission, reported total assets of 2,565,570,000 KRW for himself, his spouse, his parents, and his eldest daughter. This total is not significantly different from the amount disclosed during his candidacy (2,550,210,000 KRW).

For real estate, Chairperson Joo and his spouse jointly own an apartment in Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province, his spouse owns an apartment in Sejong City, and his father owns an apartment in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. The combined value of these properties is 1,291,000,000 KRW. The combined deposits of Joo and his spouse amount to 1,180,730,000 KRW.
