On January 29, Samsung Electronics announced during its earnings conference call for the fourth quarter of last year, "We expect the market for high-performance, high-bandwidth memory (HBM4) to enter full swing, and the trend toward higher-capacity DRAM for servers to continue expanding." The company added, "For DRAM, we plan to actively respond to customer demand by timely expanding the supply of HBM4 with competitive performance, targeting new graphics processing units (GPUs) and application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) in the artificial intelligence (AI) market."
The company further stated, "At the same time, we plan to continuously increase the proportion of AI-related products such as high-capacity DDR5, SoCAM2, and GDDR7."
