Hapcheon County in South Gyeongsang Province successfully concluded the "2026 Dialogue with Residents" on January 27, following a tour of 17 towns and townships from January 20 to 27, with active participation and warm support from the residents.
The dialogue sessions began with an explanation of the county administration's direction for each town and township, followed by Q&A sessions on local issues and opportunities for residents to freely share their opinions. A wide range of feedback was received on areas closely related to residents' daily lives, such as road and transportation improvements, enhancements to living infrastructure, expanded support for agriculture and rural communities, and welfare services.
A total of approximately 1,700 residents participated in this round of dialogues. Key suggestions included 266 written proposals and 486 on-site proposals, totaling about 752 diverse suggestions and opinions in areas such as agriculture and rural development, small-scale projects, safety, and resident convenience. This demonstrated the high level of interest residents have in county administration.
During the sessions, County Governor Yoonchul Kim personally responded to suggestions made on site, engaging in open discussions about regional development and current issues. The county plans to carefully review the urgency and validity of each proposal through the relevant departments, reflect them in county policies according to project priorities, and individually inform residents of the outcomes.
Governor Yoonchul Kim stated, "Through this dialogue with residents, many people shared a variety of opinions about county administration," adding, "We will thoroughly review each valuable suggestion and do our utmost to ensure they lead to changes that residents can truly feel."
Meanwhile, Hapcheon County plans to systematically manage the suggestions received through these dialogues and continuously share the progress and outcomes, thereby continuing its resident-centered administration based on trust with the community.
